Pottery has its beginnings in the early civilizations going back to the Neolithic periods of history. It was vessels that were made from earth clay and ceramic materials.  It was this beginning that dates back far beyond an age with man was still in pre-historic times of hunting for his food and making fire through the friction created on stones.
